As we head into the warmer months, your pool’s needs are shifting with the rising temperatures. At True Method U, our goal is to provide the timely updates you need to confidently handle your own pool care. This week, we are focusing on a small but critical adjustment: your chlorine floater. Taking a few minutes now to dial in your chemical distribution will save you from the headache of algae blooms once the summer heat truly hits.
Why Adjust Your Floater?
In the summer, higher temperatures and increased sunlight cause chlorine to dissipate much faster than in the winter. If your floater remains on its winter setting, your pool won’t maintain the necessary sanitizer levels to stay clear. To adjust it, simply twist the bottom of the floater to open more vents, allowing more water to flow through the chlorine tabs and increasing the output.

Keeping your tabs full and your vents open according to these seasonal needs is the best way to keep your water crystal clear all year round.
